Our colleagues as guests at the University of Leipzig
Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schorcht and Dr. Julchen Brieger have been invited to Leipzig University for the summer semester 2025 to give exciting insights into their respective projects as part of a guest lecture:
- May 8, 2025 (15:15-16:45)
Dr. Julchen Brieger (TU Chemnitz) "Infinity as a subject matter in elementary school"
The lecture will show how the topic of infinity - so far hardly anchored in the curriculum - can be didactically prepared and addressed in elementary school. In addition to conceptual considerations, insights will also be given into a current explorative study.
- June 26, 2025 (15:15-16:45)
Prof. Dr. Sebastian Schorcht (TU Dresden) "Prompt techniques & agent networks - AI-supported solving and setting of text tasks"
The lecture highlights possible applications of generative AI in mathematics education - especially with regard to the quality of AI-generated task formats and the use of agent networks for collaborative further development by several GPT instances.
Both lectures will take place in Hörsaal Süd 1, Jahnallee 59, 04109 Leipzig. Registration is not required.
The lectures will also be broadcast in hybrid form. You will find the access link on the respective event days on the Leipzig University website at: https://www.erzwiss.uni-leipzig.de/institut-fuer-paedagogik-und-didaktik-im-elementar-und-primarbereich/professuren/professur-fuer-grundschuldidaktik-mathematik/aktuelles
