Learning math with AI chatbots?! An introduction to how they work and didactic implications for their use in primary education to promote learning
The potential and challenges of generative artificial intelligence (AI) are also being discussed intensively in the field of education. The question therefore arises for all subjects as to how these technologies can be integrated profitably. This training course focuses on the legally compliant use of AI tools in elementary school mathematics.
In terms of learning about AI, this training course offers an insight into the technical background of how current AI chatbots work. In addition, didactic approaches are presented on how the topic of AI can be addressed in elementary school and how technical backgrounds can be explained clearly. In terms of learning with AI, initial study results will be presented on how pupils use AI tools when working on mathematical problems. By discussing and weighing up the potentials and challenges, the necessary conclusions for lesson design will be drawn.

Creating and adapting mathematics tasks using an AI tool
Designing math tasks that take into account the individual learning requirements of students often presents teachers with special challenges. This training course introduces various so-called "AI agents", which can support the modification of mathematical tasks with regard to subject-specificity, language sensitivity, differentiation and competence orientation. The training course will give participants the opportunity to try out these AI agents and create their own AI agents.

Learning prompt techniques - How prompt input improves the quality of output
Artificial intelligence (AI) has long since arrived in the education sector and opens up new possibilities for teaching mathematics. This training course shows how AI systems can be integrated into everyday school life in a legally secure manner. The focus is on effective prompting techniques that can improve the quality of AI output in a targeted manner. Various prompting techniques will be presented and applied to mathematical lesson content and everyday tasks (e.g. lesson planning).
