CHIPS at the Conference “Violence and Well-Being”
The CHIPS team participated in the conference “Violence and Well-Being” with an interactive workshop, where we presented our research project CHIPS – Child Protection in Schools. Together with our colleagues from the University of Teacher Education Vorarlberg, we introduced the project and invited participants to engage with key theoretical and methodological questions in an interactive format.
Our workshop focused on the two central concepts of emotional violence and well-being in educational relationships. Together with the participants, we discussed how these phenomena can be conceptualized theoretically and explored the challenges of studying children's and adolescents' subjective experiences empirically. In particular, we addressed questions such as how emotional violence can be discussed and identified, what role educational relationships play in students' well-being, and how both phenomena can be explored through qualitative interviews.
A key feature of the workshop was the exchange with participants. Together, we reflected on different theoretical perspectives on emotional violence, well-being, and difference, and discussed their implications for the development of our research design. The inspiring discussions provided valuable insights and new perspectives for the further development of the CHIPS project.
