Climate Day at the Freie Werkschule Meissen
Student teachers supported the program with their own activities on Climate Day at the Freie Werkschule Meissen at the end of March: They cooked vegetarian, regional and seasonal food in the school kitchen and explored the recycling process of daily waste products in the exercise room. The future teachers spent the entire morning with the children. The Climate Day at the Freie Werkschule Meissen is part of Saxony's "Climate Schools" initiative. It aims to anchor the topics of climate change, climate impact and climate protection in Saxon schools in the long term and to encourage them to develop their own climate school focus. The cooperation between the Chair of School Education and the Freie Werkschule Meissen was initiated and supported by Dr. Kristina Kocyba, Research Associate at the Chair.
It was a great day; a big thank you to the students involved!
