Offers for pupils
The internship position for the current 2025–26 school year has been filled.
In the 2026/27 school year, it will also be possible to complete a school internship at the Research Center for Comparative History of Religious Orders (FOVOG) as part of the mandatory work experience program for 9th and 10th graders.
During this internship, you’ll gain insight into the day-to-day work of historians and have the opportunity to experience research firsthand. Possible internship activities include:
- Insights into bibliographic management and research data management
- Working with medieval manuscripts
- exploring the portrayal of monasteries and religious orders in popular culture, e.g., in films, TV series, or video games
- Science communication via social media
- if possible, attending courses offered by FOVOG staff
The exact structure of the internship will also depend on your interests, which we will discuss with you during an initial interview. This means you can also set your own priorities. We expect you to carry out your own project as part of your internship. You can view the results of past internship projects here.
