Jörg Sonntag admitted to the Benedictine Academy Salzburg

On 9 November 2024, PD Dr. Jörg Sonntag, department head of the Saxon Academy of Sciences and Humanities' project "Monasteries in the High Middle Ages. Laboratories of Innovation for European Designs of Life and Models of Order" based at FOVOG, was ceremoniously inducted into the Benedictine Academy of Salzburg for his services to research into medieval monastic culture. The medal and certificate were presented in the Romanesque Hall of the Salzburg Archbishopric of St. Peter, which is considered the oldest monastery in the German-speaking world.
