Studying abroad is the perfect opportunity to broaden your horizon and to gain a myriad of new experiences. You'll get a new perspective on the programme you study, you'll improve your language skills, and you'll meet new and interesting people. I want to study abroad - what to consider?

If you are planning to study in another country, a number of questions need to be considered. Which option is the best for your study abroad? Which are the deadlines and prerequisites? How will you finance your stay?

Which programmes are available?

ERASMUS+, DAAD, bilateral exchange programmes, and cooperations between faculties - there are a number of programmes that allow you to study abroad. Find the one that suits you.

Once you know where you want to go, find out about the recognition of your achievements. Which courses will be recognised? Which documents will you need?

General information

The application procedure for Erasmus+ is comparatively simple. Please check the available exchange places well in advance and keep the application deadlines of your faculty in mind. Take also into account that you might require some specific knowledge in the field of your studies or a certain level of language skills.

In preparation of your stay abroad - be it with the Erasmus+ programme or with another programme - a variety of questions will arise. The advisors at your institute or at the International Office will be glad to help.
