Publication in the anthology »Vernetzung«
Edited by Megan Arndt, Tillmann Clement, Nora Meyer, Jonas Hauschildt, Philip Steinbach and Denise Wallat, the first volume of the "Systematisch-Theologische Forschung" yearbook brings together contributions by academics who use their own research projects to highlight and reflect on the interdisciplinary nature of theological research under the heading "Vernetzung" ("networking").
Anna Lena Stefanides published an essay on the difficulty of understanding fear. In an examination of the development of capitalism, she attempts to grasp anxiety both as a condition and as a consequence of subjectivity within social relations in order to approach a socio-psychological perspective on anxiety with the help of the critical theory of the Frankfurt School and Freudian psychoanalysis. She comes to the conclusion that a transdisciplinary definition of anxiety in its various levels of meaning can only be grasped with the help of critical, theological reflection.
