Systematic theology

On the one hand, systematic theology endeavors to open up the theological tradition with regard to the respective present. On the other hand, it aims to understand the present within the horizon of tradition.

The Chair's work focuses on all questions relating to the current situation of Christianity as a religion in a modern society.

This includes, above all, questions about the ethics of modern technology (e.g. bioethics, artificial intelligence), but also questions about the presence of Christianity in culture (e.g. in the media, art and politics).
