In the Name of the People: Facets of Populism in Ancient Greece and Rome
at the TU Dresden.
The presentations by international scholars will deal with the topics "Historical and Contemporary Views on 'Volkssouveränität'", "Populism and Rhetoric", "Populism and Institutions" and "Populism, Economy and Material Culture".
Part of the program is a keynote speech by Amy Russell titled "From people to populus in Republican Rome".
The conference language is English.
