(Un)healthy Relationships in the Anthropocene
Please note the room change! Wiener Str. 48, Room 0.03
In summer semester 2024, the GenderConceptGroup's lecture series GenderLectures will take place for the seventh time in a row.
Under the title "(Un)healthy Relationships in the Anthropocene: Inter-, Transdisciplinary and Artistic Explorations of the Interdependencies between Earth, Environment, Body and Gender", this semester's GenderLectures are dedicated to the topic of health in an overarching sense. In the usual inter- and transdisciplinary manner, the lecture series brings together lectures in which Advisors from different disciplines explore the connections between the earth, the environment, the body and gender. The need for such a synopsis is suggested by existing diagnoses of the so-called Anthropocene. According to current research findings, the current geological age, which is largely shaped by human activity, in particular the capitalist modes of production, extraction and consumption of the industrialized countries of the global North, is in a catastrophic state of social and ecological health.
All interested parties are cordially invited!
