About the interactive course catalog
The interactive course catalog lists all courses offered by the Institute. It also includes related links as well as information on how courses are assigned to degree programs, modules, and course requirements. Instructions for use are provided below. If you have any questions or encounter any issues, please contact .
General Information
Please be aware of any changes—the course catalog is constantly updated. Please contact the respective instructors or visit the Student Advising Office if you have questions regarding course content. You can find the instructors’ office hours on the Institute’s website. Room locations can be found in the Campus Navigator or on the TU Dresden orientation pages.
Unless otherwise specified, registration for the courses is not required, but registration for the respective OPAL course is recommended. However, you must register for the respective exams during the semester. Information on the limited-time online registration periods—which you must not miss under any circumstances—can be found on the website of the Institute and the Examination Office of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science or the Centralized Teacher Examination Office.
Students inBachelor’s, teacher training, and Master’s degree programs who are unsure which modules they must take, which courses are required for them, or which academic requirements they must fulfill can get an overview by consulting the study and examination regulations as well as the module descriptions for their degree program (an overview of the degree programs with links to the documents can be found here). On the website of the Examination Office of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science, you will also find answers to frequently asked questions about the Bachelor’s/Master’s program. For further questions, please visit the Academic Advising Office of the Institute of Philosophy.

Notes on using the interactive course catalog
First, you must select the desired semester. For example, the "Winter Semester 2017/2018." Then you can either select only your degree program or view all courses.
Clicking on "Details" provides further information—such as the required coursework, the course schedule, or any submission deadlines.
Using the "Show/Hide Filters" button, you can display not only the semester but also, among other things, only courses from specific modules, weekdays, lecturers, or times—as well as search for specific strings in the course titles.
