Keynote speaker Prof. Katharina Kaesling at the conference “Child Safety in Digital Environments” in Vienna.
The “Child Safety in Digital Environments” conference took place on October 13, 2026, in Vienna, in the Festive Hall of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW), bringing together experts from government, academia, industry, and civil society to discuss the protection of children on social media.
The keynote was given by Prof. Katharina Kaesling, on the roles of parents, children, platforms and the state in the platform and AI economy, from family law to the proposed EU KIDS Act.
Prof. Kaesling also participated in a panel discussion titled “Legal Frameworks Addressing Child Safety Challenges.”
