First-time visitors will be overwhelmed of the nearly unbelievable beauty of Prague. The University, founded in 1348 by Karl IV., is known as one of the oldest universities und law faculties in europe. Studying in Prague offers the unique opportunity to witness a legal system that is moving from former Austrian and socialistic rules to democratic legal system of a new member state of the European Union. Students get the chance to stay in halls of residences of the University of Prague.
Winter semester in Prague:
Studying in Prague provides an opportunity to become acquainted with the legal system of a new member of the European Union. Besides lectures in Czech, numerous English lectures give the chance to get to know the Czech legal system which is exceptionally for its modern legislation coming into effect on the occasion of the accession to the EU. It is also possible to hear English lectures in European law and by this gain interdisciplinary knowledge.
Our students are supervised by the institute members of Professor Jan Kriz, the developer of the new Czech copyright law. The supervision gives our students the opportunity to gain in depth knowledge in this particular field of law. For a successful completion of their studies they have to write a paper in German on a specific topic in Intellectual Property Law.
Fees: There is a tuition fee of EUR 500.00 for the stay abroad in Prague, funding through the Erasmus programme is possible.
