International Track
The classes of the "International Track" focus primarily on the European harmonized regulations of intellectual property, including trademark law, data protection law and design law, but also present and examine basic features of copyright law, patent law and competition law, each with a comparative legal reference. Legal systems outside the EU will also be considered.
The courses are offered as lectures, exercises and workshops. Thus, students are optimally prepared for the requirements of a globalized labor market and ideally also find their way better in their own national intellectual property regulations.
In addition, our "Practitioners' Panel" is held regularly on Fridays, to which we invite practitioners from a wide range of intellectual property fields of activity from Germany and abroad to give presentations on current topics. The events of the practitioners' panel are a module component of both tracks, so that the paths of our students cross as often as possible, often resulting in friendships for life.
The language of teaching and examination in the International Track is English. Knowledge of the German language is therefore not required. However, the program is designed in such a way that our students can also attend almost all events of the "German Track" if they have the appropriate language skills.
