The Chair of Public Law with special consideration of environmental and technology law is dedicated to researching and teaching environmental and technology law in all its breadth. For environmental law, this includes above all pollution control law, recycling management law, nature conservation law, water law, soil protection and environmental energy law. One focus of research in environmental law is in the field of renewable energy law. In addition to general questions of the relationship between law and technology, genetic engineering law in particular is being researched more intensively in the field of technology law.
