
Dr. Joachim Fischer
Dr. phil. habil. Joachim Fischer has held an Honorary Chair at the Institute of Sociology at TU Dresden since the summer semester of 2012.
- His work and core research areas include sociological theories, philosophical anthropology, art and cultural sociology and architectural, spatial and urban sociology.
- From 2016 to 2020, the Institute of Sociology at TU Dresden was home to the DFG research project Nicolai Hartmann: Cirkel-Protokolle, which was carried out in cooperation with the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Wuppertal. Prof. Fischer was the head of the Dresden sub-project.
- Dr. Fischer lectures on philosophical anthropology, social ontology, social theory and the concept of "sociology as socioprudence". He supervises students on Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma degree courses as their first and second supervisor.
