Profile
We understand macrosociology as the analysis of structures that generate correlations between the different social sectors and have an impact on society as a whole.
We are focusing in particular on structures of the hierarchisation of social groups on the basis of socio-economic and gender differentiations, as well as questions of social change.
Our research foci include the analysis of the relationship between work and education in times of globalisation, social structure analysis of Germany and in comparative perspective, as well as social state and social movement research.
