Soziologie für Lehramt

The sociology modules in the LA GRW vary depending on the study regulations. As a rule, you start by attending the lecture "Introduction to Sociology".

Important notes:

• According to the "old" study regulations (2017) in module GK-12, a so-called micro-macro combination exam must be written, which combines content from lectures on microsociology and macrosociology (social structure analysis).
• The lectures "Introduction to Microsociology" and "Social Structure Analysis" (Macrosociology) do not take place every year, but alternate annually. The lecture "Social Structure Analysis" (Macrosociology) will take place in the summer semester 2025. The lecture "Introduction to Microsociology" will be offered again from summer semester 2026.

For student teachers of the old examination regulations (before WS23/24)

The module PHF-SEGY-GK-13 "Methods of Empirical Social Research" includes two lectures:

• Fundamentals of methods of empirical social research (winter)
• Methods and techniques of empirical social research (summer).

The examination in each lecture consists of a written examination lasting 90 minutes.

The module PHF-SEGY-GK-14 "Data Analysis and Social Problems" comprises

• Lecture "Descriptive and Inferential Statistics" (winter)
• the seminar and exercise "Social Science Data Analysis" (summer). Some of the exercises can also be attended as part of the statistics lecture.

The examination (60 hours of project work) is completed in the seminar.

For teacher training students of the new examination regulations (from WS 23/24)

The module PHF-SEGY-GK-13 "Introduction to Methods of Empirical Social Research" comprises the lecture "Fundamentals of Methods of Empirical Social Research" and the corresponding tutorial (winter). The examination consists of a portfolio of 30 hours.

Module PHF-SEGY-GK-14 "In-depth study of the methods of empirical social research" includes the seminar "Quantitative Methods Bridge Course" and the associated tutorial (winter). The examination is a complex course of 30 hours.

Die Soziologie-Module im LA GRW unterscheiden sich je nach Studienordnung. In der Regel beginnen Sie mit der Vorlesung „Einführung in die Soziologie“. 

Beachten Sie, dass Sie nach der „alten“ Studienordnung (2018) neben einer Klausur zur „Einführung in die Soziologie“ auch eine sog. Mikro-Mikro-Kombiklausur schreiben.

Bitte beachten Sie auch, dass die Vorlesungen „Einführung in die Mikrosoziologie“ und „Sozialstrukturanalyse“ (Makrosoziologie) nicht jedes Jahr stattfinden, sondern sich jährlich abwechseln. Im Sommersemester 2025 findet die VL „Sozialstrukturanalyse“ (Makrosoziologie) statt. Die Vorlesung „Einführung in die Mikrosoziologie“ wird ab dem Sommersemester 2026 wieder angeboten.

In der neueren Studienordnung bietet das Modul EW-SEBS-SP-M07 verschiedene Vorlesungen zur Wahl an.
