Math meets The Mass of Money

As part of the Schaufler Residency 2026, the artist duo Quadrature artistically examines data on wealth, inequality and capital in the project "The Mass of Money" and translates it into planetary phenomena and cosmological models.
Together with Prof. Axel Voigt (Chair of Scientific Computing and Applied Mathematics, TUD) and students from the Institute of Scientific Computing, economic data will become the material for creative codes, modeling and simulations as part of a master's seminar. How can financial dynamics, black holes or gravity be made mathematically tangible?
