Paper Presentation by Marie Briese on multimodal practices of confession at social media

On the topic of confessions, testimonies and truth – especially in the face of the instrumentalization of these by right-wing actors – theologians met in Zurich May 8-10, 2026 at the international conference “Confession – Testimony – Truth”. Schaufler Kolleg@TU Dresden fellow Marie Briese gave a paper presentation entitled “Multimodal Practices of Confession at the Intersection of Christian Fundamentalism and Right-wing Populism on Instagram”. The conference proceedings will be published as a special issue. The date of the publication will be announced due time.
