Svenja Engelmann-Kewitz and Moritz Ingwersen will be visiting the Youth-Family Forum of the Evangelical Academy of Saxony to speak with young students about their questions and concerns regarding the American election.

"There is hardly a news broadcast that doesn’t cover the U.S. election campaign. It’s constantly reported on, and Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are often seen giving speeches in front of large crowds. Many people are worried about how the election will turn out, even though the U.S. is so far away.
What exactly is happening in the country, and why is this such a unique election? And why do so many say that the election outcome will be very important for us here in Germany too? Should we also be concerned? To help us find answers to these questions, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Moritz Ingwersen, along with Svenja Engelmann-Kewitz from the Institute for American Studies, are coming to visit us. Both are knowledgeable about the country and its people. With them, we will be able to discuss all these questions – and much more – honestly."
