Tasks and Structure

The student council for Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies (FSR SLK) is a body that represents the students (the student body) of the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies. Elected annually, the FSR has numerous university-political, but also cultural or advisory functions and tasks. The current regulations of the FSR SLK can be found here.

Advice

A large part of the FSR's work consists of advisory tasks. During the lecture period, all members offer weekly consultation hours, which you can read about here. However, the FSR not only helps with problems and difficulties with your studies, but is also happy to advise on events organized by students.

Financial matters & culture

The FSR implements its own financial projects to plan events for students or to organize major events such as the ESE or the election. However, the FSR also supports student projects financially, often making their implementation possible in the first place. For example, the Lies-Vor-Festival in the winter semester 2016/17 was financially supported by the FSR SLK. We also support excursions such as the Slavic Studies excursion in the summer semester 2024 or the TUDORS theater group to Coventry and Wroclaw. We also financed the dance evening with Slavic folk dances for the faculty festival in the summer semester 2024. If you need funding for a cultural or political project, please contact us! University politics

The FSR represents the students of the student council in the Stura, the Institute Councils, the Faculty Board, the Study Commission, and the appointment, doctoral and examination committees. This enables the FSR to stand up for students at university, faculty and institute level and protect their interests.
