The Language and Multilingualism Lab (LMLab)
Welcome to the website of the Language and Multilingualism Lab of the Chair of German as a Second and Foreign Language (DaZ/DaF).
In our linguistic laboratory, we use psycholinguistic methods such as eye tracking and reaction time measurement to investigate how language is processed, produced and acquired by people.
The focus of our work is on experimental multilingualism research, which deals with questions relating to the acquisition of a second or third language, the interaction of different languages and the mental representation of these languages. We are interested in the controlled and uncontrolled second language acquisition of adults as well as the language development of monolingual and multilingual children.
