Celia Brightwell is a writer and researcher interested in how narratives and data can impact wellbeing. Her PhD project explores how age and gender intersect in digital technology. She examines the role of consent in data-driven technology, focusing on how this affects older women. Celia has worked as a user experience writer and content lead for European digital health apps. She led a user research project that uncovered experiences with digital blood tests. She also worked with a team that developed in-app psychological support tools. And she helped make it easier for pregnant people and parents in South Africa to get digital medical guidance. Her work as a research associate supports the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health.
