Workshop: ‘Natural Italian and Generated Italian: Characteristics, Problems and Prospects’
On Friday, 28 November 2025, a research workshop entitled ‘Natural Italian and Generated Italian: Characteristics, Problems and Prospects’ will be held, organised by Prof. Anna-Maria De Cesare and Dr Giulia Mantovani. The event will be attended by international scholars and researchers, who will discuss current issues surrounding the Italian language and generative artificial intelligence.
The workshop will be dedicated to the analysis of specific features of Italian in different thematic areas (sustainability, climate crisis, country branding) and text genres (reviews, advertising, political speeches, customer service chats), as well as the use of chatbots and LLM, discussing their potential and challenges for the Italian language.
The meeting will take place in room M2, SLUB DrePunct (Zellescher Weg 17).
