CHAIR OF ROMANCE LINGUISTICS (FRENCH / ITALIAN)

The areas of activity of the Chair include Romance linguistics (French/Italian) in research and teaching from a synchronic and diachronic perspective. Research focuses on grammar, discourse and text linguistics, corpus linguistics as well as contact and contrastive linguistics and encompasses various areas of theoretical and applied linguistics. Diachronic research - especially in the areas of grammaticography, text types, text editions as well as variety and gender linguistics - forms another cornerstone of the subject.
