Exhibition "Le cinéma d'animation - la French touch" May 16-June 6, 2024
The (traveling) exhibition was shown at the Programmkino Ost Dresden as part of the 25th French Film Festival . It offered a retrospective on a 125-year success story: the history of animated film in France, its creativity, and the dynamism of its schools, artists, and studios...
It provided an insight into the history of French animated films, from the pioneers of the early 20th century, through the success stories of *The Wild Planet* or the TV series *L’Odyssée 31*, all the way to today’s cutting-edge animators, such as Michel Ocelot, Florence Miaihle, and Sébastien Laudenbach.
French animated cinema, with its diverse animation studios, universities, and creative professionals, is now a thriving industry.
