Call for applications - PEF scholarship program for France/ Application until 9 March 2026

The French Embassy in Berlin, in cooperation with the DAAD, is once again offering the PEF scholarship program for France (Programme d'études en France).

The program is aimed at students of Romance studies or other humanities and social science degree programs related to France and enables them to begin their second Bachelor's year with a five-month study visit to a French university.

The study visit (in the period from September 2026 to January 2027) includes regular courses:

• language tandems between German and French students
• an accompanying cultural program
• initial insights into professional fields of work

The program is funded with a scholarship of €450 per month. In addition, PEF offers educational and logistical support, in particular for a place to live.

The aim of the scholarship is to enable mobility as a first experience abroad before an Erasmus stay and thus also to promote language acquisition.

Application: via the DAAD portal from December 08, 2025
Application deadline: March 09, 2026
