New study: Corporations , Populism and Responsibility
We are pleased to present our new study "Corporations, Populism and Responsibility" at the Chair of Business Management, especially Responsible Management!
Many German companies are facing the challenge of how to deal with the growing influence of populist movements.
Our study examines how listed companies perceive this development and to what extent they react to it as political leaders. To answer this question, 160 companies from the leading German indices (DAX40, MDAX, SDAX) were contacted as part of a representative online survey.
The key findings: Companies increasingly see themselves as politically responsible stakeholders, the majority view populism as a disadvantage for Germany as a business location and around 70% of respondents have already taken their own measures against populist movements and expect only moderate negative reactions from their stakeholders.
The study thus offers valuable impulses for the strategic management and social positioning of companies.
