Cultural fit - finding, retaining and winning back employees
The concept of cultural fit describes the cultural fit between employers and employees - in other words, the correspondence between values, attitudes and working methods. Our project transfers this scientifically based concept into practice. We therefore offer you free and customized training courses in the Görlitz, Zittau and Löbau regions.
The aim: to create a foundation for long-term, sustainable and mutually satisfactory employee relationships.
The effect - proven by research:
- Stronger employee loyalty
- Greater job satisfaction
- Lower staff turnover and less sick leave
- A working environment that promotes innovation and helps you move forward

Who is our offer for?
Our offer is aimed specifically at managers and HR managers - i.e. people with personnel decision-making authority from companies (SMEs) in the district of Görlitz.
What is the aim of our project?
We want to make a contribution to the region with our training courses. Our main objective is to support successful structural change by developing a solid foundation for strong employee relations in order to promote the ability of companies in the district of Görlitz to act and be fit for the future with suitable and motivated staff.
How do we transfer research into practice?
The transfer takes place via practice-oriented further training, which also includes an integrated practical phase. In this phase, the participating companies - supported by our mentors - apply what they have learned to company-specific problems. In this way, we ensure successful transfer to a particular degree. It is important to us that the training is designed in such a way that it can be carried out as far as possible alongside day-to-day business. For example, we use learning bites (small mini learning units), digital self-learning elements and shorter face-to-face workshops for exchange.
How will the project work?
A total of three training blocks will be carried out. After a pilot phase and the revision of the offer, around 10 companies will be able to participate in each of the training sessions.

Why can the project help our region?
In the district, the proportion of people of working age continues to fall, and we are also confronted with the fact that many young people are leaving the region. Skills shortages, a shortage of skilled workers (war for talent) and a general shortage of labor are already acute in some areas. At the same time, the move away from coal mining is leading to redundancies in this industry. In addition, there are numerous other challenges for companies: the changing world of work (globalization, digitalization with changes in work processes, changes in required qualifications and business models); the changing attitudes of employees (appreciation, work-life balance, meaningfulness are gaining in importance, a loose attachment to employers); the corona pandemic (including digital working in distributed teams); high energy prices; inflation; lack of human and financial resources. Given the generally already multiple crisis situations and the lack of or in some cases severely overstretched human resources, it is a proverbial balancing act to address all these challenges with the necessary attention and appropriate expertise. This is precisely where we come in. We want to tackle one of the most important areas of activity and challenges - staff shortages - and help people to help themselves.
