Brief Description

The project Vi-Assess is about the possible didactically uses and technical solutions for the integration of E-Assessment tasks within interactive video. We are investigating time-related task formats for self and peer assessment in distant and blended learning. It is our aim to advance self-regulated and collaborative learning within video learning environments. Video assessment has the potential to engage learners to watch videos at full length and to deepen understanding by scaffolding knowledge acquisition and application. By conducting laboratory studies and one field study we are going to examine the video usage, test results and usability aspects.
