A subsidiary of TU Dresden, NaMLab gGmbH, is one of the most innovative German companies 2022 in the ranking of Germany's largest consumer portal CHIP.de (Results only available in German language). In the category "The most innovative institutions in research and teaching", the Dresden campus company came 9th.
NaMLab was founded in 2006 as a joint venture between TUD and industry and is now a TU Dresden company. On behalf of the Dresden semiconductor and microelectronics industry, NaMLab develops new materials for micro- and nanoelectronics and circuits based on them. NaMLab focuses on applying its expertise in new materials to reconfigurable and energy-efficient devices by placing the device more than the material system itself at the center of its research activities.
