Matching Day took place at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) on January 12. Researchers from the TUD and the HZDR met under the motto "Exchanging knowledge | sharing expertise | identifying synergies". The topics of circular economy, energy, materials and big data/high performance computing were discussed in various working groups in order to identify interfaces and potential for joint research work. This resulted in numerous ideas for concrete cooperation opportunities. The participants were also given the opportunity to take a tour of the research equipment at the HZDR, including the globally unique technologies for investigating fluid dynamics. Many of the HZDR's research devices are also listed in the online portal of the DRESDEN Science and Innovation Campus, the "DRESDEN Technology Portal (DTP)". Here, researchers and users can search for specific devices, complex systems or services for their research. Dr Anja Blüher is available as a contact person for anyone interested in networking on the above-mentioned topics.
