The scientific profile of the School of Engineering Sciences at the TU Dresden should be strengthened and made more visible. That is why we support the researchers in the school in developing innovative and interdisciplinary growth areas and sustainably promoting research in these areas.

Activities

• Responsible for developing a structured, strategic process to identify outstanding research priorities (Grand Challenges)
• To support the organisation and implementation of school-wide workshops as a way to reduce research priorities
• Exploration of new ideas with the potential for large research projects through the interaction of different research fields with interdisciplinary orientation
• Promote and support an inter-school collaboration of engineering and natural sciences, humanities and business/economics, and medicine
• Development and construction of a research map/matrix for the school of ENG
• Supporting researchers/scientists in project acquisition, research and knowledge transfer, and organising and conducting courses, lectures and other events
• Systematic networking activities within the university and with external partners
• Provide up-to-date information and links for research management by building and maintaining the SharePoint platform School of Engineering Sciences.
