The chair of Acoustics and Haptics contributes to IEEE Worldhaptics 2021
The chair of Acoustics and Haptics takes part online in the IEEE Worldhaptics Conference with two publications. By Dipl.-Ing. Robert Rosenkranz, his work presented in IEEE Transactions on Haptics, titled "Mapping the Sensory-Perceptual Space of Vibration
for User-Centered Intuitive Tactile Design". There, the most common sensory-perceptual attributes are indentified and their relationships to vibration parameters are obtained, being deemed suitable for future model building (Link).
In the second publication, titled "Passively Actuated Clutch for Enhanced Backdrivability in
Bidirectional Kinesthetic Feedback Applications", MSc. Pablo Alvarez Romeo presents a compact clutch mechanism design, suitable for kinesthetic feedback applications where both a wide range of force feedback and frictionless free motion capabilities are required. (Link).
