content of the course

- Basics, concepts and methods for development complex digital VLSI systems
- Architecture concepts for highly integrated digital working systems especially from the areas of Processor systems as well as application-specific Signal processing systems
- Methods for the efficient transfer of the architectural concepts into the highly integrated implementation of a digital system
-Specification and abstract modeling of the system, Transfer to a register transfer description (RTL), automated circuit synthesis and physical implementation (place & route, Layout synthesis),
- Verification of the design on all levels of abstraction (Behavior, implementation) through simulation (functional verification)
- Proof of the equivalence of transformation steps through formal verification, checking compliance implementation of design rules (sign-off verification)
- Testing in the design team (division of tasks, fixed laying of interfaces, process and time planning)
