TEK-EKG- Thermisch-Elektrisches Anlagen EKG
Titel (Englisch)
Thermal-electric facilities EKG
Kurzbeschreibung (Deutsch)

Kurzbeschreibung (Englisch)
The Energiewende in Germany leads to a significant reorganization of the energy supply with an increase
of decentralization and an increased awareness of energy efficiency. Both aspects are closely linked to an
increase of feed-in by renewable energies and a reduction of energy consump-tion in all sectors (heat,
electrictricity, gas). The planned research project should support this trans-formation process by creating a
tool, called Thermal / Electrical ECG (TEC-ECG), which is designed to analyze and evaluate the thermal
and electrical characteristics of buildings and quarters. The tool consists of two parts, a plug and play,
short-term measurement system with time-synchronized data acquisition of characteristic thermal and
electrical parameters and a software component for analy-sis. Based on the short-term measurements (3
weeks) the thermal and electrical demand will be ana-lyzed and the significant operating performance of
installed devices will be identified automatically. Referring to this, describing models for the demand and the
devices will be generated from the ana-lyzation to allow evaluation over one year. The main focus of this
project is creating a consistent tool for measurement and analyzation. The results should be integrated in a
followed optimization with the aim to increase the energy efficiency under the consideration of economic
aspects. Optimization parameters are for example changeable control parameters of devices, additional
installations of devices or suitable operating algorithms. The measurement system, the software for
analyzing and the operation will be tested within the project in a two-stage field test to evaluate the acquired
algo-rithms. The project will be accompanied by further research concerning safe communication under
consideration of the latency and the coupling of the TEC-ECG to energy management systems by
developing an interface-converter.
