Courses

Below you will find an interactive overview of the courses offered by the Chair of Information Theory and Machine Learning. More detailed information can be found on the website of the respective course. Please note that one module may include several courses.

1)	The courses Codierungstheorie, Fortgeschrittene Themen der Informationstheorie and Sicherheit auf der Übertragungsschicht will be offered with a slightly modified curriculum starting from the winter semester 2026 / 2027. Then, the elective courses will be adapted to the module descriptions of the new examination regulations from 2024.
2)	Starting from the winter semester 2026 / 2027, the new course Maschinelles Lernen in der Informationstechnik will be offered.
3)	The courses Netzwerkcodierungstheorie and Konvexe Optimierung were offered for the last time in the summer semester 2025 and the winter semester 2025 / 2026, respectively. Starting from the winter semester 2026 / 2027, the elective courses will be adapted to the module descriptions of the new examination regulations from 2024.

The Chair of Information Theory and Machine Learning is also involved in the following interdisciplinary courses organized by the Chair of Communication Networks:
