8th Autumn Workshop "Energy Storage Systems" on 2.12.2025

The Chair of Energy Storage Systems is organizing the 8th autumn workshop "Energy Storage Systems" on 02.12.2025. This year's online event is dedicated to current developments, challenges and future prospects of large-scale battery storage and hybrid energy storage systems, which are playing an increasingly central role in the energy transition. The results of the BMSmart project, which was completed in 2025, will be presented as well as insights into ongoing research work. One focus will be on methods of optimizing energy and string management as well as concepts for modelling, simulation and status diagnosis of large storage systems. The workshop will also shed light on international perspectives - from the development of European battery recycling and the operation of large redox flow battery systems to power-to-X approaches such as ammonia synthesis from wind energy. The workshop creates a platform for exchange between education, research, industry and practice.
