Born in 1962. Since 2000, Martin Schmauder is the owner Chair of Ergonomics. He is also head of the Institute of Material Handling and Industrial Engineering of the Technische Universität Dresden. He studied mechanical engineering at the University Stuttgart.
Research topics are ergonomics, human factors, work design and organization, safety and occupational health. Prof Schmauder is member in the german human factors society and some committees of the german labour ministry.
