Abstract:

In many places, methods of user integration are now an integral part of product development methodology in order to develop products efficiently and target-oriented for the user.

Although a broad spectrum of methods is available for integration, there are many examples showing that despite explicit consideration of user wishes, the resulting products are only moderately accepted by the users. This lecture presents an analysis of challenges and risks associated with the use of methods of social science for user integration and discusses possible approaches for a more efficient use of such methods
