On July 11, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Mehran Roghani defended his dissertation "Microstructure Evolution and its Effect on the Behavior and Material Properties of Magneto-Active Elastomers", which he wrote as part of the Research Training Group 2430 "Interactive Fiber-Elastomer Composites" at the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e. V (IPF), under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Chokri Cherif (Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology ITM at TU Dresden).

The doctoral thesis was reviewed by PD Marina Grenzer (IPF) and Prof. Dr. Niels Modler (Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology at TU Dresden). Prof. Wießner (Institute of Materials Science at TU Dresden) supervised the doctoral process as an assessor.
