Successful defense of the dissertation by Dr.-Ing. Mathis Bruns
Dr.-Ing. Mathis Bruns with the members of the examination board
On January 16, 2026, Dr.-Ing. Mathis Bruns defended his dissertation "Intrinsically Conductive Polymer Fibers for Actuator and Sensor Applications: Development and characterization" under the chairmanship of Prof. Nils Modler (Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Across the Life Course, TU Dresden) as part of the Research Training Group 2430 "Interactive Fiber-Elastomer Composites" at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden.
The doctoral thesis was reviewed by Prof. Chokri Cherif (ITM) and Prof. Gert Heinrich (Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e.V., TU Dresden, ITM). Prof. Kyosev (ITM) and Prof. Gerlach (Institute of Solid State Electronics, IFE) accompanied the doctoral procedure as assessors.
