RTG 2868 at the BeWISE 2026 conference
The Research Training Group RTG 2868 D³ - Data-Driven Design of Resilient Metamaterials was represented at this year's BeWISE - Women in Science and Engineering 2026 conference at the TUD Dresden University of Technology. The event took place from April 15 to 17, 2026 in Dresden and was aimed at female scientists in the qualification phase from DFG-funded programs.
The conference focused on career development, visibility in academia and personal and professional development through workshops, coaching formats and exchanges with experienced female professors.
RTG 2868 was also present with several participants. At the fireside chat on Wednesday evening, the young female researchers had the opportunity to talk to two Principal Investigators of the Research Training Group. Sibylle Gemming and Martina Zimmermann reported on their personal career paths and encouraged the participants to shape their own individual paths.
