Martha Kalina was honored as a Werner von Siemens Fellow

Martha Kalina was honored as a Werner von Siemens Fellow. She received the award for her dissertation entitled "Phase-field modeling of fatigue fracture". In it, she developed a particularly efficient model for the numerical prediction of fatigue cracks in aircraft structures.

The prize is awarded every two years by the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring Foundation to young scientists. The official award ceremony will take place in December.
