Course Description
Students will acquire the necessary knowledge and specialized methods to design and implement application systems. The scope of this course focuses on industrial cyber-physical systems (CPS).
The course presents methods from current research projects in the following areas:
-
Cyber-physical production systems
-
Various aspects of industrial networking, e.g., real-time, prioritization, reservation, synchronization, multiplexing
-
Holistic management of industrial networks and systems
-
Information modeling for industrial cyber-physical systems, e.g., digital twin
-
Industry 4.0, in particular basic concepts, models, services, and interactions
The methods are first introduced theoretically and then applied to real-world problems in exercises.
This course provides the fundamentals for the “Cyber-Physical Systems Lab.”
