KNX training case for teaching and training courses
Günter Birner (right) and Patrick Wittmann (not pictured) from Siemens AG presented the Gamma Training Kit 5.2 to Prof. Klaus Kabitzsch. It contains KNX devices that can be put into operation and parameterized for training and test purposes. The actions of the devices are displayed realistically via lights and LED panels on a building floor plan. This makes it easy to get started with KNX. With the AUTERAS ETS Importer App, projects planned with AUTERAS can be imported into the KNX integration tool ETS and the KNX devices in the case can be put into operation. The training case is now available for training and teaching at TU Dresden.
With the case, all steps in the tool chain from planning to commissioning of KNX devices can now be represented. The first step is to record user requirements using the AUTERAS knowledge-based requirements tool. The AUTERAS planning tool then uses this to develop equipment concepts and finds suitable product combinations in the database. In the next step, the AUTERAS ETS Importer app developed by us can be used to import the entire project into the KNX integration tool ETS and put the KNX devices in the case into operation.
Lighting can be switched and dimmed, there are blinds, implemented as an electronic simulation with the help of LED rows, as well as the simulation of heating and cooling. The room model of the case represents the situation on an office floor, consisting of two rooms and a staircase.
We are pleased that Siemens AG will also be using the AUTERAS planning tool in their training courses and testing the ETS results in the case.
