IT companies honor the top graduates of the Faculty of Computer Science
Dresden-based IT companies will honor outstanding theses by computer science graduates at the Faculty of Computer Science’s major project showcase on June 25, thereby recognizing exceptional academic achievements during their studies.

Congratulations to:
Louis Gröger on winning the Kontron AIS Prize for the best bachelor’s degree in computer science. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis on the topic “Theoretical Foundations for Chasing Disjunctive Existential Rules with ASP.”
Nicola Doyle for the GTV Prize for the best BA degree in Media Computer Science and her resulting bachelor’s thesis on “Designing an Engaging Youth-Focused User Interface for an Urban Planning Participation Platform.”
The Tracetronic Prize for an outstanding thesis in the field of AI went to Julia Rennert for her master’s thesis titled “Explainability of GNN for Model Classification.”
Vincent Melisch was awarded the Saxony Media Solutions Prize for his outstanding thesis “Cross-Architecture Transformation of SIMD Code to Support Database-Close Optimization” in the field of software engineering.
The 3m5.Excellence Award for an outstanding dissertation went to Dr. Zahra Ebrahimi for her dissertation “Design of Energy-Efficient and High-Throughput Reconfigurable Systems through Cross-Layer Approximation.”
