New Impulse LAB "Future Energy" launched in the School of Engineering Sciences - innovative power for the energy transition
The energy transition is one of the greatest challenges facing society, the economy and politics. Existing structures and conventional concepts are increasingly reaching their limits in terms of reliability and acceptance. As part of various activities, a draft strategy for energy research at TU Dresden has been drawn up, which is to be developed into a future potential area of "Energy Systems". As a first step towards the realization of the strategy, the Future Energy LAB was founded on 28.03.2025 with the full approval of the School Committee ING. This is an important milestone for the interdisciplinary collaboration between the Faculties of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science at TU Dresden for research into a sustainable and innovative future energy supply. The Impulse-LAB serves as a creative platform to bundle the innovative strength of the individual faculties and make it visible. The partners of the Future Energy Lab are not only committed to solving technological issues, but also to sustainability, gender equality, internationalization and teaching.
Join in and shape the future: All interested parties are invited to become actively involved in the Future Energy Lab - whether through their own project ideas, collaboration in projects, sharing knowledge or joint developments. We look forward to exciting projects and new ideas that will change the future of energy in the long term!
